The Oasis of Stability distracts the worried traveler from reality!
Remember, in the western, where the hopeless cowboys are lost in the desert; their only hope is the oasis; the leader points out far off in the distance. So why do they all follow, realizing it's only a mirage.

As innovation destroys an industry's status quo, the status quo will head out on a journey. But, unfortunately, some will travel towards mirages until their death. Because traveling towards hope is more comfortable than traveling away from despair. A, despair the hopeful refused to define.

Unfortunately, those fooled by mirages are misguided. Quest based on hope can easily take control of the realities needed for survival. The despair of what you are leaving should be the motivation to embark on a journey towards continuous relevance.

Those taking journeys towards reinvention or improvement only packed with hope and fantasizes will find themselves with empty canteens heading toward the hallucination oasis.

Those who can disrupt themselves understand that journeys toward continuous relevance start at the mirage and never journey towards the hope of something based on fantasies.

Unfortunately, most people would rather follow journeys based on misguided hope packed full of fantasy over leading journeys through roads riddled with unknown obstacles.

Those who journey based on fantasies and false hope usually return to their origins. Once faced with the realities, they are going from one mirage to another, the journey back home becomes the safe destination. However, when they return to their once safe haven. The innovators have made the landscape unrecognizable.

Don't be fooled by those hallucinations of an oasis of stability. Because, more than likely, it's just a mirage.

"Status quo is the killer of all that will be invented."

The End Of The Day With Ray! WAKE UP! The Industry Is Ignoring Another Warning! Inkjet Revolution

In 2023 I started The #InkjetRevolution! Today I fear the industry's procrastination and passive approach to disruptions will cause the same hardships as when the industry ignored my A4 revolution started in 2018! Most of the industry sat in denial through 2018,19,20 - Then the pandemic caused an awakening. But still today in 2025 we have OEMs who still have very weak A4 strategies! It's Deja Vu - Hopefully today's episode inspires the industry to take the Inkjet revolution serious.

The End Of The Day With Ray! Katun Celebrates One Year Selling MFPs - Doesn’t Still Seem Absurd?

by ray stasieczko October 14, 2025

As Katun celebrates its 1st anniversary in selling MFPs I ask Why? What's the strategy? From the numbers I see GPI the parent company to Katun produces less than $200 Million a year in total revenues and that includes Katun. What does Katun actually think they will accomplish? The marketplace needs consolidations not wannabe OEMs. Katun should also publish their financials in a readable format like all the others and accessible from their website. How can anyone take Katun serious in their aspiration to somehow become a major player in the MFP hardware space? In this episode I share my thinking.
